Co-Founders of Grace Rwanda Society

Elizabeth Mujawamaliya Johnson

Elizabeth was born in Rwanda and lived through the genocide in 1994. While in Rwanda, she worked for the Ministry of Agriculture and for Care Australia and World Vision. Elizabeth earned a BBA after immigrating to Canada in 1999 and is presently pursuing an MA degree. Her work includes developing public support for Grace Rwanda projects and speaking to groups across Canada to raise awareness about the Rwandan genocide.

Marie Louise Kaligirwa

Marie Louise was born in Rwanda and lived through the genocide in 1994. While in Rwanda, Marie Louise was an accountant for the US Embassy and for British Petroleum. She immigrated to Canada in 1998 and is currently working with physically challenged people to support their quality of life. For the love of her country, Marie Louise wants to change Rwandan children’s lives by promoting and developing education reforms.

Paul Johnson

Paul is one the founders of Grace Rwanda and currently serves as President and Chairman of the Board. Paul has been a business owner in the tire sales and service industry for over 33 years in Langley BC.  Paul is also an active member of Rotary International and Rotary World Help, working in and around the world for the needs of both his community and others. He is presently enrolled at Trinity Western University pursuing a Masters degree.

Franco Bordignon

Franco Bordignon is the founder and owner of Bordignon Marble & Granite Ltd., a natural stone business in Vancouver. In October of 2008, Franco met Ret ‘d . Lt. Gen Romeo Dallaire at a speaking engagement in Vancouver. That meeting inspired Franco to act on his desire to give of himself to the people of Rwanda. Since then he has become an active member of Grace Rwanda Society and is currently the Vice-Chairman.

Faustin Bilikano

Faustin Bilikano was born in Rwanda, where he became a high school teacher. Faustin has a BA in business administration and a Masters degree in international business administration. Faustin came to Canada in 1998 and is currently a student Case Manager and Counsellor in Vancouver with Educacentre College. Faustin believes that education is key to the development and the transformation of a person as a whole and to the wellbeing of society.
